About Us

Sinead is originally from County Galway. After completing a B. Comm and Diploma in Professional Accounting she went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. She was admitted to the Institute of Taxation and worked as a Taxation Manager with KPMG.

As the Principal of Devine & Co., Sinead takes a genuine interest in our clients’ businesses. Her approach is to understand clients’ goals - be they maximising profits, minimising tax, negotiations or compliance. With her expertise in taxation, she has a wealth of knowledge particularly in the setting up of tax efficient structures, corporate restructuring, etc.

Sinead recently completed a Diploma in Forensic Accounting, has carried out forensic assignments and has often served as an expert witness in court on behalf of clients. She has also completed a Diploma in Insolvency by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Sinead also serves, in a voluntary capacity, on various local committees.

Sandra Carroll is a native of Boyle and after graduating with a degree in Business Studies went on to qualify as a Certified Public Accountant while training with a medium sized practice. Sandra joined PwC where she was a Senior Audit Manager.

Since joining the firm Sandra has primary responsibility for managing the delivery of our audit service and for general accounting and consulting assignments. Sandra has developed the firms audit approach and methodology.

Sandra has extensive experience in providing services to a wide range of clients from very large corporations to small owner managed businesses. She has experience of varying assignments in both private and publicly funded companies, including Grant applications, Due Diligence, Internal Control reviews, Bank proposals etc.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with a medium sized practice, Shane joined the Audit Department of Crowe Ireland heading up some of the larger audits of the firm. He went on to join the Financial Solutions Group of AIB dealing with property customers with complex financial problems.

Shane provides audit, accounting and tax services to our clients. He has broad experience in providing services to a wide range of clients from very larger companies to small owner managed businesses. Shane also deals with varying assignments including Bank proposals, projections, consolidations, grant applications, company secretarial etc.

Thomas qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working in practice. As well as holding senior positions in practice, he also worked in financial roles in industry before joining us.

Thomas provides audit, accountancy, tax and general business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. His experience covers retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical sectors, sole traders, partnerships, farmers. Thomas works closely with clients to develop solutions to resolve issues as they arise.

Linda obtained a Diploma in Business Studies and went on to work with small accountancy practice. While working, she continued to study and completed exams with the Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland.

Linda provides Accountancy and Tax Compliance Services to various businesses including companies and self-employed. As well as dealing with Accounts Preparation, she has accumulated vast experience in Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and RCT compliance services.

Lorraine qualified as a Chartered Accountant while training with a small practice in Sligo. She has worked in the tax section of a number of firms including KPMG and has completed the Institute of Taxation exams.

Lorraine ensures our Tax Compliance Services are up to date and in line with most recent Revenue guidance. She provides expert tax advice under all tax heads and responds to ad-hoc tax queries as they arise. She also assists with queries raised by Revenue, including Revenue Audits, Aspect Queries, etc.

Geraldine, our longest serving member of staff, joined after completing a Certificate in Business Studies. She obtained first place in the country in the final admitting exam of the Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland.

Through her vast knowledge of accounting and taxation Geraldine has continued to provide a hands-on approach to ensure the client’s needs are dealt with promptly, thoroughly and efficiently.

Charlotte graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting. She joined the firm as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Charlotte has an in depth knowledge of taxation, auditing and accounting for both individuals and companies for the practice’s diverse range of clients in varying industries. She is responsible for ensuring our technology and systems are regularly updated. Charlotte also looks for tailormade solutions to improve clients’ financial records.

Mairéad has worked in retail and manufacturing settings. After studying Information Technology she joined our team.

Mairéad is our receptionist and provides administrative support to optimise the workflow in the office. She deals with clients communications and correspondence as well as maintaining effective internal records.
